With more than a century of combined experience among its management staff, Tri-National, Inc., leverages its transportation industry expertise to provide logistics services to clients throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada. In an effort to give back to the community, Tri-National, Inc., supports groups such as the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), which works to provide a pathway to a college education for African Americans.
When Hurricane Harvey struck in August, students attending historically black colleges and universities in both Louisiana and Texas also experienced the storm’s impact. Some students, as well as their families, are now unable to work because many of the businesses that employed them have shuttered while recovery is underway. To that end, UNCF has answered the call and is providing help to these individuals and their families.
The organization has started a Hurricane Harvey relief fund. In his comments, UNCF president and CEO Michael L. Lomax said his organization is committed to helping and urged those who want to support students affected by the storm to contribute as well.
