In 2023, Women in Trucking (WI) recognized Tri-National Inc. (TNI) as a Top Workplace for Women in Trucking. It was the sixth year in a row that TNI was named to the list. Upon receiving the award, TNI’s senior vice president expressed his gratitude to WIT and lauded his employees for their dedication to the company.
WIT recognizes the “Top Companies for Women to Work for in Transportation” annually. It follows a multi-step process to select the top performers. First, it makes a call for nominations from industry participants. Once the nominations are in, it vets them to ensure they fit its qualification criteria, makes a final list, and finally lets companies vote on the winners. WIT publishes awardees in its magazine Redefining the Road. It also honors them at the WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo.
While trucking is a predominantly male dominated industry, TNI has distinguished itself by implementing programs that support women in trucking. These include training, flexible work arrangements, and career advancement opportunities.
